Shiraz wine history
1st year of Shiraz crop. Got less than one tonne so we decided not to make labels, just leave as clean skins. 12% alcohol. Maturing nicely.

- 4.1/2 tonnes hand picked March 3rd 2002 on a very good season., a little early for 11 ½% alcohol. Maturing well after 15 months in French & American oak casks before bottling. This wine has a blackberry fruity aroma & palate with subtle tannins.

- 3.7 tonnes hand picked March 1st 2003. A smaller crop that year as we had some botrytis. Picked a little early for an alcohol content of 12%. 18 months in French & American oak casks before bottling. This wine has a wild red berry fruits with pepper & cinnamon spice nose. It is a medium bodied wine which is well balanced leaving a spicy oak palate.

- 5 ½ tones hand picked March 2006. Best yield to date. A classic Hunter shiraz with claret red hues, medium bodied, balanced & spicy, from French & American oak casks. Fleshy ripe fruity nose of blackberry & plum, laced with licorice & pepper spice; mild yet tasty, leaving an elegant long finish. 12.5% alcohol. Very popular & pleasing shiraz.

- Shiraz grapes hand picked February. Good yield, great quality. Looking forward to this wine.
